Our Little "Bean"

So yesterday, 9-17-07, we had our first appointment in Iowa City. It was amazing. They called us right in for our ultrasound. I was nervous, anxious, excited and every emotion in between. She looks for a minute and said, "There's your baby." It was such an amazing feeling. Then she showed us a flickering light, and told us that was the baby's heartbeat. It was a beautiful sight to see. The heart rate measured 136bpm (beats per minute) which is wonderful. They also said I measure exactly on target as to where I thought I was. So as of today, I am 6 weeks 5 days pregnant and our little "bean" is due to arrive on May 8th, 2008. God is amazing and has blessed us with a creation that no one else could.
